Tha race was led by Francesco Cara (FR, 2008) [Della Francesca-Magic Cara(Akarad)] with a very slow pace, followed by Casar (IRE, 2008) and Cape Point (FR, 2008). In the stretch, Casar was first for a moment, but Eltso first and then Ayanz launched their attacks, to finish second and first, and Aspasia came from still behind to catch the third place.

Ayanz is my maiden name and I have relatives in Aoiz, Navarra! I was very surprised to see a beautiful horse named Ayanz and a winner too!
