Opus (SPA), favourite in the Premio Memorial Javier Piñar Hafner

Opus [2008, SPA] [British Open-Taeuber], bred by Yeguada Cortiñal, owned by Cuadra Romalu and trained by B. Recio is the favourite for the main race this Sunday, a 2,100 m race for 3 y/o, Premio Memorial Javier Piñar Hafner. He has 2 wins in his last 2 starts, both in Dos Hermanas. Here is his last race:

Black Moon (IRE, 2008), a bay filly by High Chaparral-Charmed Lady (Rainbow Quest), with only one start, in which she was sixth in the Premio Carlos Sobrino won by Clunia and Barathea Bay (IRE, 2008) [Barathea-Fritta Mista] a bay colt, slightly raced, owned by cuadra Tiziano and trained by M. Delcher Sánchez, are two of his rivals.

In France, Un Monde (SPA, 2008) [Baptize-Tymoon] owned by cuadra Alisares and trained by Ana Imaz won today (Jan 29th) a 1,900 m claiming race for 3 y/o in Pau.

Salsarix (Fr, 2005), a gray gelding [Kingsalsa-Alharixa], owned by Cuadra Nanina and trained by E. Olgado, won also a 1,900 claiming race for 5 y/o+ in Pau.


Nova Med (IRE, 2007) [Whipper-Prima Volta], who was second in the Gran Critérium 2009 and third in the Premio Villapadierna (Spanish Derby) in 2010 for the cuadra SafSaf, now owned by Mme. France Fertillet, won a 2,400 race (January 27th) in Cagnes sur Mer.


Calafate (FR) [Septieme Ciel-Chamba], bred by Yeguada HV, won the Prix Sterrebeek (2,000 m) in Cagnes sur Mer (dirt).
