Favourite Mr. Rigsby (GB) with jockey Borja Fayos aboard, won the main race of the January 2nd 2001 meeting at Dos Hermanas, a mile. It is the 16th win for the gray gelding. Mr. Rigsby is trained by Blas Rama.
Atlántico (SPA) was second and Libia was third.

There were also Spanish wins in France. Verdana (SPA, 2005) (Egeo-Vraivert) won a race in Deauville. The 6 year old filly has a record of 39 races with 9 wins and more than 90,000 euros in prize money.
