Compton Park wins the Premio Habitancum, Nelson Groom repeats

Compton Park (GB, 2007) ch. colt [Compton Place-Corps de Ballet(Fasliyev)], owned by Rachel Teasdale Racing, trained by J. L. Eyre and ridden by I. López, won yestarday the Premio Habitancum (1,400 m, 4yo+), beating S Grillo (Val Royal) by a head, with Volcánico (Refuse to Bend) third and Tirion (Royal Academy) fourth.

In the rest of the meeting, the 1,600 m race for 4yo+ fillies, was won by Baronía (SPA, 2007) [Bahhare-Lonia(Royal Academy)], owned by Cuadra L'Etoile, trained by J. L. de Salas and ridden by V,. Janacek, who beat Cara Blanca (Beat Hollow) by a head, with Tafadhali (Dyhim Diamond) third and La Llanura (El Prado) fourth. Casaca didn't run and Clunia was last, in a disappointing performance

Nelson Groom (FR, 2006) [Charming Groom-Slot Machine(Highes Honor)], owned by Reza Pazooki, trained by F. Rodríguez and ridden by J. L. Martínez won the Premio Día Mundial del Teatro (for the second year), beating Risquillo (Ballingarry) and Festeiro (Fol Parade), with Señor Miranda (Fantastic Light) fourth.

Azabache (SPA, 2009) [Iceman-Tiviski(Desert Style)] was the winner of the 1,400 m race for Spanish bred 3yo, ridden by A. Gomez for trainer F. Rodríguez (who had a treble) and  Cuadra Los Toneles. 2nd was Galileus (Sorcerous) and 3rd Negrete (Hold that Tiger)

In the last race of the meeting (Premio SEPI, 2,000 m, 3yo) the winner was Galipoli (FR, 2009) a bay colt [Sulamani-Sweet Willa(Assert)], owned by Cuadra San Rafael, trained by Teo Callejo and ridden by J. Crocquevieille, with Belagua (IRE, 2009), bay filly by Rail Link, second.
This is the second win in 2 starts for Galipoli, half brother to the Group 3 winners Holberg and Undermine
