There are two meetings this week in Madrid, the first one on Friday beginning at 17.30.
This meeting includes five races, being the most important the Premio Nouvel An (1,800 m, 3yos, 9,000 euros for the winner), with six participants:
Illunbe (FR, 2009), ch. colt [Archange d'Or-Koningin von Saba(Ela Mana Mou)], owned by Cuadra Cielo de Madrid, trained by O. Rodríguez and ridden by J. Horcajada.
Makalali (IRE, 2009), bay colt [Kodiac-Hawattef(Mujtahid)]., owned by Cuadra Martel Sánchez, trained by O. Anaya, ridden by I. López
Monte Napoleone (FR, 2009), ch. colt. [Fol Parade-Kyria(Grand Lodge)], owned by Cuadra San Ignacio, trained by Roberto López, ridden by Oscar Ortiz de Urbina. He was second in the Listed Criterium de Bourdeaux at 2, but his seasonal comeback in France this year was disapppointing.
Gomariz (SPA, 2009), bay colt [Fragrant Wells-Astarlina(Astarabad)], owned by Cuadra Padronesa, trained by J. A. Roidríguez, ridden by Borja Fayos.
Kadmios (FR, 2009), bay colt [Kavafi-Erika(Distant Relative)], owned by Cuadra Nakata, trained and ridden by J. L. Martínez. Winner in his only start.
Valiant Blue (IRE, 2009), bay colt [Moss Vale-Tiltili(Spectrum)], owned by Cuadra Agrado, trained by Teo Callejo, ridden by V. Janacek.
The winner last year was: Happy Few
Also interesting is the Premio Vértice, a 2,200 m race for 4yo+ fillies, with Beamonte winner Clunia (Silent Times) and also Azamor (Slickly) (2nd in that race). Also participants: Hello Tomorrow (Forest Wildcat), Ramallah (Federal Trial), Tafadhali (Dyhim Diamond), Tasha Linda (Where or When) and Vergara (Haling).
A 2,300 m Handicap on dirt, and two claiming races over 1,800 m for 3yo (one for fillies and one for colts) complete the racecard.
