Anthony Forde's Safsaf stable won the owners title in Spain in 2011 by a close margin over Cuadra África. Safsaf earned a total of 216,900 euros in prize money with 33 runners, while Cuadra África won 209,351 with 7 runners.
Domeside (GB, 2006), who runs this Sunday, was the best horse of Safsaf in Spain, winning the inaugural running of the GP Duque de Alburquerque. He was the Derby winner in 2009. Safsaf also owns the globetrotter Silverside (Pleasantly Perfect), Gr. 2 winner in Germany and Group placed in Norway this year. Silverside is in Dubai for the Carnival. He is also a Classic winner of the Premio Cimera (Spanish 2,000 Guineas).
With only 7 runners, Cuadra África won a lot of good races, mostly with the siblings Entre Copas and Casaca (also Gr. 3 placed in France).
Cuadra Los Toneles (owners of Volcánico) was the third, with 155,625 euros in prize money earned by 15 runners.
