Vereda and Rubens win in Dos Hermanas, Obatala in Vila Seca
Last weekend featured five races in Dos Hermanas (Seville) and three races in Vilaseca
In the Dos Hermanas meeting, Vereda (SPA, 2009, bay filly) [Kheleyf-Society Fair] won the 1,600 m race for 3 yo, beating Esgues (Dyhim Diamond) by half a length. Vereda was ridden by Oscar Ortiz de Urbina for trainer J. L. Maroto and Cuadra Asturleña. She is half sister to Lorgan, 2nd in the Premio Cimera (2,000 Guineas) and winner of the GP Claudio Carudel.
There were also a 1,500 m race for 4yo+ Spanish breds, clearly won by Rubens [Fragrant Wells], ridden by J. Grosjean and owned by Yeguada Cortiñal. His trainer is J. C. Fernández R. Corcubión was second. Here is the race: Premio Cría Nacional
In the 2,100 m race for 4yo+ fillies (Premio Estadio Deportivo), the winner was Coqueta (SPA, 2008) [British Open-Lucky Filly], owned by Cuadra Colisa, trained by J. A. Rodríguez and ridden by J. Grosjean.
Other winners were Turrialba (Trade Fair) and Covelo (Kashwan)
In the Vilaseca meeting, winners were Guilvine, Arrebato and Obatala
