Entre Copas (GB) wins the Premio Corpa
Entre Copas (GB), the 7 yo chestnut gelding of Cuadra Africa, winner of the last Mijas Cup, won today the Premio Corpa, a 3,000 m race for 4yo+ in the turf of the La Zarzuela track. The winner is trained by J.M. Osorio and was ridden by J. Crocquevieille. Karluv Most (FR, 2006) was second, with Duke (GER) third.

Montyaar (FR, 2007), the bay filly, took the lead from the beginning, with a slow pace that after the first 1,000 m became faster. She was followed by Duke, the stablemate of Karluv Most, with Entre Copas third and Karluv Most fourth. In the last turn, the duo of Cuadra Cholaica, first Duke and then Karluv Most, took the lead, but could not hold off the advance of Entre Copas, who won clearly. This is the third win in a row for Entre Copas. His program will probably include the Gran Premio Ciudad de Madrid (2,500 m, 3yo+), end of June, won last year by his foe, Karluv Most.
Here is the video: Premio Corpa 2011
Meanwhile, in the third race, As de Trébol (USA) won again in Spain, by 7 lengths, beating Preciados (SPA), who was second, in a 1,600 m race.
